How You Are Assessed & Grading Parameters/Classifications

Modified on Thu, 6 Mar at 2:42 PM

Students can view the marking guidance for all assessment types by accessing the Instructions and Resources page. Each assessment element on every module is linked to the grading rubric for that activity.

2-3 students are randomly chosen in each tutor group to be double-marked by a second tutor to ensure consistency across modules and tutors. Grade disputes that cannot be agreed upon between the tutor and the double-marker are resolved by the Programme Leader. In addition, University moderators and External Examiners may review work.

To find the relevant information on the classification parameters and how your components are weighted for your programme, please refer to your Student Handbook

You can find this by finding your course through the “Get Set for Success” page, accessible on the top bar in Moodle.

As always, if you have any further queries you can reach out to Student Services.
