Accessing The USW Library Through Moodle
Students will have access to the Learna Library which is part of the Moodle learning platform. The Learna Library can be found in the My Courses section on Moodle as shown below. You can access this section here using your Moodle login details.
By clicking on Explore, you will be taken to the Learna Library where you will need to scroll down and click Access USW Library as highlighted below. You will then be taken to FINDit which is the USW's library search service.
What is FINDit and How to Search for Resources
FINDit (pictured below) provides simple, one-stop searching for books, e-books, articles, DVDs, and much more! It allows all students and staff to manage their library accounts online and offers a range of personalized features to save favourite items or search queries.
You can search very easily in FINDit. Just type one or more words that you are looking for into the Search Bar and click the Search button. If you enter multiple words, FINDit will return results that contain all of the specified terms.
Once you are familiar with the basic FINDit search, you might want to try doing more with the Search panel or use the Advanced Search option.
How to Perform Advanced Searches
Click the Advanced Search button next to the Search bar. The Advanced Search page allows you to specify additional lines of criteria, which are not available with the Basic Search. In addition, it allows you to specify filters prior to executing the query.
Who to Contact for Library Queries
If you have any further queries about the USW library, you can contact a member of the University library staff and they will be happy to assist you in the best way they can. You can do this by one of the following methods.
